KURUKA is an AI-powered flight intelligence service operating at kuruka.co.uk. For the purposes of UK data protection law, KURUKA is the data controller for personal data processed through this website.

KURUKA is designed to collect as little personal data as possible. Here is exactly what we process:

Search queries

When you search for a flight (origin, destination, dates, cabin class), this information is sent to our AI service to generate your results. We do not store search queries beyond the duration of your session.

IP address

Your IP address is processed automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and rate-limiting purposes (to prevent abuse). It is not stored in any database we control.

Approximate location

We use your IP address to determine your approximate country via a third-party geolocation service (ipapi.co). This is used solely to localise currency and pricing context. No precise location is collected.

• Legitimate interest — processing your IP address for rate limiting and security is necessary to operate a safe and reliable service.
• Contractual necessity — processing your search query is necessary to provide the flight search results you have requested.
• Legitimate interest — approximate location detection to improve the relevance of pricing information shown to you.
• Consent — Google Analytics is optional and only runs after you actively accept it via our cookie banner. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see "Cookie settings" in the footer).

To provide our service, we share data with the following trusted third parties. Each operates under its own privacy policy and applicable data protection law:

Essential storage

Your browser may receive one or more functional cookies from our hosting provider (Vercel) as part of standard CDN and edge network operation, and we use a small amount of local storage to remember your cookie choice. These are strictly necessary for the website to function and do not track you across sites or sessions.

Google Analytics (optional)

KURUKA uses Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — for example, how many searches complete successfully and how often people click through to a partner link. This is optional and only loads after you actively select "Accept analytics" in our cookie banner.

• It does not load by default, and no analytics data is collected before you consent.
• It may process device and browser information and your approximate location (derived from IP address).
• We do not send your name, email address, raw chat messages, or payment information to Google Analytics.
• You can reject analytics and continue using KURUKA fully — no feature is limited by this choice.
• You can change your choice at any time using "Cookie settings" in the site footer.

No advertising cookies

We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, or profiling.

KURUKA links to independent travel partners — currently Aviasales, and in some searches KAYAK where a live tracked offer is available. When you follow a tracked link from KURUKA and complete a qualifying booking, KURUKA may earn a commission from the partner. This does not increase the price you pay.

• The partner controls the final price, availability, booking process, payment, cancellation terms and customer service for any booking you make on their site.
• The fare shown on KURUKA is a live snapshot at the time of your search — the price on the partner's site may differ by the time you get there.
• KURUKA does not currently process flight payments or manage bookings directly.
• Once you leave KURUKA via a partner link, that partner may set its own cookies, governed entirely by that partner's own privacy and cookie policy.

We do not store your search queries, flight results, or personal data on our own servers beyond the life of a single request. Once your results are returned, no record of your search is retained by KURUKA.

Infrastructure providers (Vercel, Duffel) may retain server logs for security and operational purposes in accordance with their own retention policies, typically 30–90 days.

You have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of any personal data we hold about you.
• Erasure — request deletion of your personal data.
• Restriction — ask us to limit how we use your data.
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
• Complain — lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk) if you believe your rights have been infringed.

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of KURUKA after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
